About the event
This course is designed to cover everything a new shooter needs to know in theory and practical hands-on application. Shooters will have a classroom session that addresses everything stated below. Students will have hands on practical with training guns before heading onto the range for the live fire portion. After the live fire, there will be a debrief and a cleaning demonstration.
Classroom – 2 hours
• Safety discussion and 4 Rules of Firearms Safety.
• Basic history and explanation of modern handgun disciplines.
• Types of modern handguns and how they work (Pistol, Revolver, Metal vs Polymer, Striker Fire vs Hammer Fire).
• Handgun nomenclature.
